Manggarai is the most fertile area of the island, in past times the people here lived in large, round houses. Most houses had to be demolished when the Dutch entered, but hidden behind some slopes and hills there is a village that stayed perfectly preserved . Experience a world in which time stands still! Day 02 Maumere (free morning)

Day 03 Moni
Beautiful trip through the mountains. Visit of Jopu, where the famous ikat-sarongs are made.
Day 04 Moni
Together with a local guide to Mount Kelimutu. Sunrise over the three colour lakes. Walk downhill for three hours.
Day 05 Riung
Drive through a beautiful deep valley to Riung, a small fishing village, that is rarely visited.
Day 06 Riung (boattrip)
Boat trip to a number of islands that belong to the national park. Snorkeling, wonderful fish barbecue.
Day 07 Bajawa
Soa, a natural hot water spring. High and cool Bajawa is the centre of the very traditional Ngada region.
Day 08 Bajawa
See the surroundings by trekking from village to village. A local guide explains all about Ngada customs.
Day 09 Ruteng
Beautiful drive through mountains and following the coast.
Day 10 Labuan Bajo
Visit the traditional village of Todo with its big round communal house.Stay in Labuan Bajo, startingpoint for a visit to the Komodo-archipelago. Day 11 Labuan Bajo (Rinca) Boat trip to Rinca. Morning stroll looking for Komodo dragons. Good snorkelling.
